Nicholson joins Kalamazoo Justice Center Project
Nicholson Construction was recently awarded the auger cast pile contract on the new Kalamazoo County Justice Center by construction manager CSM Group, Inc.
Nicholson Construction will be supporting the new, five-story, approximately 15,329 m² facility with more than 250 auger cast piles drilled to depths of up to 15 meters.
“It’s always special for us to be able to help out on local projects,” said Dan Thome, Senior Vice President of Nicholson’s Central Region and Kalamazoo resident. “Working in the communities that we are part of is a great source of pride for us – and we’re really happy to be part of this project.”
The state-of-the art facility, which is tentatively scheduled to open in 2023, will eventually house the county’s courts and other criminal-justice related offices. Nicholson’s work on the project started in early June.
