Bessac signs its first contract in Ivory Coast to build a microtunnel in Abidjan.<\/h1><\/div>

Bessac Afrique, the Bessac branch formed earlier this year, signed its first contract a few weeks ago with PFO Africa, the market leading construction company in Ivory Coast. A great first which demonstrates the expertise of the Soletanche Bachy group in tunnels and underground works.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

As part of the motorway tunnel construction project in\u00a0<\/span>Abobo<\/span>, one of the most densely populated areas\u00a0<\/span>in<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Abidjan, the teams from\u00a0Bessac<\/a>\u00a0will create a 990<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0metre long gravity\u00a0microtunnel\u00a0and\u00a01.8 metres internal<\/strong>\u00a0diameter to drain stormwater<\/strong> from the low point of the structure to the existing canal on the other side of the city.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All plant and equipment\u00a0<\/span>are<\/span>\u00a0expected to be on site by the end of June 2021, and the project will take just under one year to\u00a0<\/span>be\u00a0<\/span>complete<\/span>d<\/span>\u00a0(including the 4-month preparation period). It's a suitably ambitious project and an excellent success story for this new\u00a0Bessac<\/a>\u00a0entity!<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>
