Having closed its doors at the end of 2018, the Allianz Stadium is being completely redeveloped. The new stadium will be rebuilt on the site of the old one.

The future stadium will offer spectators better visibility, a fully covered roof and the latest state-of-the-art facilities, while conserving the cultural heritage that has made the region an important sporting venue since the 1850s. That is the task assigned to the John Holland group, which is in charge of the reconstruction of this new building.

As part of this major project, Bachy Soletanche Australia has been constructing the foundations for the new stadium on behalf of John Holland since the beginning of May. They comprise 1,500 CFA piles and a retaining wall. This is a major project for the subsidiary, which has needed to bring in three drill rigs to work simultaneously to ensure that deadlines are met.

The work is expected to be completed in September 2020, while the stadium is due for delivery in mid-2022.
