Soletanche Bachy to contribute, as part of the IRIS consortium, in the design and build of Line 15 East of the Grand Paris Express from Bobigny to Saint-Ouen!<\/h1><\/div><\/div>The <\/strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des grands projets<\/strong><\/a> has awarded the IRIS consortium, headed by<\/strong>\u00a0Bouygues Travaux Publics<\/a>, the 15 East-2 design & build contract for Line 15 East of the Grand Paris Express<\/a> running from Bobigny to Saint-Ouen, worth a total of 1.087 billion euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>The project includes :<\/p>\n
\n- the construction of 4 new stations (Stade de France, Mairie d’Aubervilliers, Fort d’Aubervilliers and Drancy – Bobigny) and improvements to the Saint-Denis – Pleyel station<\/li>\n
- excavation of a 5.5 km tunnel and upgrading of 2.5 km of existing tunnel<\/li>\n
- the construction of 4 new service structures and the upgrading of 3 existing service structures<\/li>\n

<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>As part of the Stations & Tunnels sub-group, our teams will have the opportunity to deploy all their know-how in deep diaphragm wall<\/a> construction on the Mairie d’Aubervilliers station in particular. The first special foundation works are scheduled for mid-2025, and for a peak period of 4 months (late 2025 – early 2026), 8 Hydrofraises will be excavating the land to the north of Paris.<\/p>\nThe tunnel<\/a> will be integrated into a dense urban environment, with an average depth of 30 meters, and will cross several sensitive infrastructures. Excavation works will be carried out through different geological layers.<\/p>\nThe consortium will be making every effort to reduce the environmental footprint of the works, with the emphasis on reusing materials, using low-carbon concrete<\/a> for the retaining structures and infrastructure of the stations and service structures, and low-carbon fiber-reinforced concrete for the tunnel segments, as well as the use of electric site vehicles and equipment to help reduce CO2 emissions.<\/p>\nWhen completed in 2031, Line 15 East will significantly improve mobility for 675,000 people living in the Paris region, and contribute to the attractiveness of the area.<\/p>\n
