Le D\u00e9partement des Transports du Minnesota (MnDOT) a r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9sign\u00e9 la joint-venture Kraemer\/Nicholson (KNJV) comme entreprise g\u00e9n\u00e9rale pour l’installation d’un nouveau bassin de stockage des eaux pluviales le long de l’autoroute I-35 West, au sud de Minneapolis (lot de travaux 2).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Ce bassin de stockage des eaux<\/a> pluviales, pr\u00e9vu pour contenir les inondations en cas d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement pluvial de 24\u00a0heures \u00e0 p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9currence de 10\u00a0ans, permettra de corriger les probl\u00e8mes de capacit\u00e9 que le syst\u00e8me d\u2019\u00e9vacuation existant rencontre depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

La KNJV construira six puits ind\u00e9pendants, con\u00e7us par le groupement de designers Barr\/Brierley, reli\u00e9s en s\u00e9rie \u00e0 une station de pompage charg\u00e9e de repomper jusqu\u2019\u00e0 4,5\u00a0millions de gallons (17\u00a0millions de litres) d\u2019eaux pluviales dans le syst\u00e8me en 72\u00a0heures. Le risque d\u2019inondation le long de l\u2019autoroute I-35W, tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e, en sera consid\u00e9rablement r\u00e9duit.<\/p>\n

La nappe phr\u00e9atique proche de la surface et l\u2019acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 au site ont conduit la JV \u00e0 opter pour la technique de la paroi moul\u00e9e<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Outre les puits, la KNJV sera \u00e9galement charg\u00e9e de l\u2019excavation, du b\u00e9tonnage, de l\u2019installation et des essais des syst\u00e8mes m\u00e9caniques, \u00e9lectriques et de pompage, ainsi que de la restauration finale du site.<\/p>\n

Un premier lot de travaux (WP1) avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 remport\u00e9 par la KNJV en 2019, pour la cr\u00e9ation de la plateforme de travail sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019autoroute, en pr\u00e9paration du chantier actuel (WP2). Ce premier lot incluait la construction d\u2019une paroi clou\u00e9e d\u00e9finitive (soil nailing) r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019aide de la m\u00e9thode de forage tige-tube, ainsi que la conception et la construction d\u2019une paroi clou\u00e9e provisoire r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019aide de barres autoforantes, la pose de palplanches, ainsi que du terrassement.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ce projet est tr\u00e8s important pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des riverains et des voyageurs empruntant la I-35W,\u00a0\u00bb explique Ryan Streets, vice-pr\u00e9sident des Op\u00e9rations de Nicholson Construction<\/a>. \u00ab\u00a0Notre \u00e9quipe est ravie de mettre en place une solution qui permettra d\u2019\u00e9liminer une multitude de risques associ\u00e9s aux orages extr\u00eamement violents.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Le projet devrait s\u2019achever \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>
